Hello!

This Wiki here is just for testing purposes, pre-pre-pre-alpha. I'd love to use it as my next bookmarking service, since Delicious is practically dead, and I haven't found any free similar alternatives.

I have been inspired by http://www.fsavard.com/flow/2008/11/using-a-personal-wiki-for-bookmark-organization/. The idea of using a wiki for bookmark organization is wonderful, especially seeing how cluttered my current ersatz "Links" page on http://pchr8.net/ is. Plus I love the "control the data yourself" flavour of it.

Lastly, it allows me to use multiple axes for organization. Later I will think of a more formal architecture for the links.

Currently, this wiki will be divided into the following very broad areas:

Additionally:

  • Dump - Things which need to be sorted in relevant categories or otherwise reworked
  • My projects - Things relevant to my own projects.
  • Good - Big nice pages with lots of useful info.
  • Uni
  • Taxonomy - meta-category about ways to organize things (List of examples, ...)

Searching details how the pages can be searched. "Big" and potentially more useful pages are in Category:Useful.

Every page will be tagged, since a lot of the categories overlap.

Categories can contain other categories.

In every individual page, if it links to an outside resource I find interesting, I will try to make 10 key points or to paste in the most important paragraphs, so more of it will stay in my mind.

We'll see how this goes.
